The first self-built motorhome

Thomas Günther, then a student, builds his first own motorhome – a VW bus – to travel right across Europe with Sabine, now his wife. When friends buy the van from him after the trip, the two decide to convert an ambulance next.

Togo is founded

An idea becomes reality. The Günthers decide to go into business converting panel vans.

Togo moves to Stove

The Günther family moves with their sons Marcus and Philip to Stover Straße 71 in the Elbmarsch. One-off vehicles are built under the company's own name. Thomas takes care of the technical and craft side of the business, while Sabine designs the interiors and runs the administration.

Importing Italian motorhomes

Alongside their own production, the Günthers start importing motorhomes from Tuscany. Besides brands such as CI, Riviera and Rimor, Togo offers Mobilvetta.

The rental business grows year by year. Soon almost 35 motorhomes are in the rental fleet – leaving no capacity for custom conversions.

The company flourishes: the yard is paved, and a modern workshop and a new office building are built.

Togo becomes Eura Mobil Nord

After the excursion abroad, Togo looks for a reliable, experienced German manufacturer and takes on the Eura Mobil dealership. Its consistent double-floor concept with internal tanks convinces customers of its advantages and quality. The partnership grows stronger.

La Strada for Hamburg

Back to the roots: camper vans at last. The camper van and compact motorhome maker completes the range – and with the Nova series, GRP monocoque construction is now available at Togo Reisemobile.

Partnership with Camos

Together with multimedia supplier IMC Camos, Togo Reisemobile develops a multimedia motorhome based on a Laika Kreos 3009.

The camper van icon joins the camper van pros

To meet growing demand for camper vans, the family council decides to add Pössl to the range. Models from 4.99 m to 6.36 m add twelve floor plans – from the compact van with pop-up roof to the family runabout with four berths and seats.

Adria Twin extends the range

Following the resounding success of the Pössl camper vans, the range is extended with Adria's camper vans.

James Cook and Sven Hedin arrive in Stove

Just in time for the 2012 season, Togo Reisemobile adds Westfalia motorhomes, rounding off its compact motorhome range at the top.

The first Togo video on YouTube

With the 2011 season we launch our YouTube channel, presenting motorhomes from La Strada and Pössl. Today our first two videos each have more than 40,000 views.
